Everything you need to know about HSN, membership, and our products.
The Historic Ships Network™ (HSN) is an international digital alliance dedicated to the preservation and promotion of maritime heritage. Founded in 2007 by Tadija Miletić, it began as a collection of social media pages covering the world's most celebrated ocean liners and has grown into a global network of historians, researchers, institutions, and enthusiasts spanning over 40 countries.
During landmark maritime commemorations in 2024, HSN reached over 13 million people — making it the world's most impactful digital platform for historic ship history.
HSN was founded in 2007 by Tadija Miletić, a Belgrade-based director, dramaturge, and maritime historian. The network began with nearly 20 pages dedicated to famous transatlantic liners. In 2021, following years of growth and international expansion, it was formally reorganized and rebranded as the Historic Ships Network™.
HSN is headquartered in Belgrade, Serbia, with key partners in Italy (Cristian Cararra, Bergamo) and the United States (Jordan Scalph, Virginia). The network operates globally, with member organizations and individual members across Europe, North America, and beyond.
The current HSN ship registry covers 43 vessels spanning from 1858 to 1965, across six shipping groups: White Star Line, Cunard Line, Canadian Pacific, German Lines, French Lines (CGT), and Italian Lines. The archive continues to grow. You can browse the full registry at The Ships.
You can support HSN and access exclusive content by becoming a member on Patreon. For institutional or organizational membership, please contact us at info@historicshipsnetwork.com to discuss partnership options.
Membership is open to anyone with a genuine interest in maritime history — whether you are a professional historian, a museum professional, a researcher, a model builder, or simply a passionate enthusiast. HSN welcomes both individual members and institutional partners.

Ship descriptions on individual ship pages are sourced from Wikipedia under Creative Commons licensing and supplemented with our own research.
We welcome contributions from qualified researchers, historians, and collectors. If you have archival materials, rare photographs, original documents, or specialist knowledge that could enrich our archive, please get in touch at info@historicshipsnetwork.com.
Each ship in our registry has its own social media presence. You can find links to all official HSN pages — Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube — on each individual ship's page. Visit The Ships to find the vessel you're interested in and follow its community directly.
