The SS Nomadic Trust was established in 2006 to oversee the preservation and operation of SS Nomadic, the last remaining vessel of the White Star Line. Built in Belfast in 1911 by Harland & Wolff — the same shipyard that built Olympic and Titanic — Nomadic served as a tender, ferrying first and second class passengers to Titanic and Olympic from the port of Cherbourg.
After decades of use as a floating restaurant in Paris, Nomadic was repatriated to Belfast and underwent a painstaking restoration to her 1911 appearance. She is now permanently berthed in Belfast's Titanic Quarter, steps from the celebrated Titanic Belfast museum.
The Trust invites visitors aboard for self-guided tours, educational programmes, and private events. As the sole surviving White Star vessel, Nomadic represents an irreplaceable physical link to the golden age of ocean travel.
