The SS United States Conservancy is the sole organisation dedicated to the preservation and future of SS United States — the fastest ocean liner ever built and one of the most significant vessels in American history. Launched in 1952, the ship held the Blue Riband for the fastest transatlantic crossing, a record she still holds today.
Since 2009, the Conservancy has worked tirelessly to secure the ship's future through advocacy, fundraising, and public engagement. With over 5,000 supporters worldwide, it represents one of the most passionate preservation campaigns in maritime history. The Conservancy envisions SS United States as a centrepiece of maritime culture, education, and sustainable development.
As a member of the Historic Ships Network, the SS United States Conservancy stands alongside institutions that believe in the power of historic vessels to inspire, educate, and connect communities across generations.
