Biography
Cristian Cararra is an Italian visual designer and the founder of the RMS Titanic Official Group, one of the earliest and most established online communities dedicated to the documented history of RMS Titanic. Based in Bergamo, in northern Italy, his interest in maritime history began at the age of ten — sparked by Cameron's 1997 film — and never faded.
In 2009, at the age of twenty-one, while studying architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, he founded the group with the aim of connecting enthusiasts and historians worldwide. What began as a small initiative quickly grew into a widely recognized community, today bringing together nearly 70,000 members from across the globe.
His approach to Titanic history is defined by a commitment to accuracy over spectacle — focusing on the ship itself and its documented record rather than its cinematic mythology. This rigor has made the group a trusted reference point in the broader maritime history community.
